Indie Books You’ve Got To Read Giveaway

I don’t even know where to start with this post, I have so many exciting things to put in it. First, Doing Dewey is two years old! As of the 8th actually, but who’s counting? Not me, obviously 🙂 I also just hit 250 wordpress followers give or take a few followers on feedreaders and the like.  I think that means a big thank you is in order! And also another minion gif. Review Summary: The unique vampire mythology the author created was fascinating, but half of the book was spent getting ready for an anticlimactic final showdown that only took two pages.

Review Summary: Although it includes many cliched dystopian elements, this book has a flavor all it’s own and gets lots of points for avoiding the more annoying cliches.

The dictatorial rulers of The Woodlands, known as The Superiors, believe that diversity is the enemy of peace. Disobedience is punished swiftly and violently. Day by day The Superiors are usurping more control over the lives of the citizens, dictating the careers they can have; how many children they are allowed; and who they can marry. Rosa has always been different and her uniqueness will eventually land her in trouble she might not be able to get out of.

Light Summer Reading With Lingerie Wars

Review Summary: A fun, light summer read with slightly cliched but endearing characters which I enjoyed even though the power balance in the relationship wasn’t quite right.

Lake Benson never imagined himself selling lingerie, but after loaning his less-than-business-savvy little sister money to buy the shop, he has to step in if he wants his money back. Sadly for Lake’s plans to get out fast, another lingerie shop run by gorgeous ex-model Kirsty Campbell is providing some stiff competition. Kirsty’s self-confidence is still low after abandonment by a thieving ex-fiance, but the competition and budding romance with Lake help her learn how to hold her own again.
