About a year ago, my professor changed universities and this week we had all the lab members who stayed behind out to visit. It was incredibly busy and kind of stressful because we had to do ALL of the things while they were here, but it was also a lot of fun and very productive! It was fun to see people and great to bounce ideas of each other. In addition to catching up on everyone else’s research, we also spent some time doing fun things Β like hiking (while unofficially brainstorming) which gave me a lot of great photo opportunities this week. The above pictures are taken at Treman Park and Grisamore Farms, where we went cherry picking.
These are beautiful! Some of your best yet!
Thanks! Ben said the same thing π
Love the focusing in the middle shot!
Thank you! I actually circled this cherry taking lots of pictures until I got a background and lighting that I liked π
Love the cherry photo! Looks like a beautiful hike.
My sculptural snapshots
Thanks! It was really gorgeous π
Love your blog name and your DDD. The photos look beautiful… love to see them larger. I don’t have Photography Friday, but I have Saturday Snapshot. π
Thanks! I might upload them larger on my flickr account some time, but I’ve not really gotten involved in the flickr community so I don’t spend much time on that account. Uploading them larger on my blog isn’t an option until I start hosting myself or pay for more space π
I’m with WordPress too, and not paying for any upgrades. If you have uploaded your photos onto your computer, just export them larger to your computer desktop and load them up to your blog. I’m not tech. minded, but I know it’s possible to load them bigger to your blog without costing you. π
Yes and no. I’m pretty sure there’s a limit on the amount of space you get for free so I’m intentionally saving them much smaller than the RAW files my camera outputs. If I uploaded the originals, I’d run out of space very quickly. I appreciate the advice though!
Love the cherry photo, ‘specially.
Here’s my Saturday Snapshot.
Thanks! It’s my favorite too π
I like the cherry as well! My snapshot is at http://goo.gl/LUiDP
Thank you! It’s my favorite too π
Always love a waterfall shot. Here’s Mine
Me too! One of my goals while in Ithica NY is to visit and photography all the local waterfalls π

Thank you! I love nature photography too π
This is so beautiful! I really love looking at nature photography β€
Thank you π Nature photography is my favorite, both to take and to look at.
These are really great pictures! I love the cherry one; I like the focus on the cherry/branch and the soft green background, it really makes the red stand out against the green! π

Thanks! I took that one from a couple angles to get a background I liked and this one was my favorite π
